Welcome Service

Christchurch was packed yesterday evening for a service welcoming two new ministers to the Methodist Circuit – Rev Jenny Impey and Rev Edson Dube. The service was led by the new District Chair, Rev Helen Cameron and also marks the amalgamation or the Leicester Trinity and Leicester North Circuits.

Rev Jenny Smith preaching

Next Sunday evening, 9th July, we are looking forwards to a service led by Rev Jennifer Smith. Jenny worshipped at Christchurch before being ordained as a Methodist minister and is now the superintendent of the Ealing Trinity Circuit. In the autumn she will be taking up the position of superindendent of Wesley’s Chapel in the centre of London.

25 Years of Traidcraft

Christchurch has had a Traidcraft stall now for 25 years. In 2016 it had a turnover of £9774. £6321 of this was from sales within Christchurch and rest from supplying other churches and a local college. Wild Honey Summer Saturday

There was an excellent summer fair at Christchurch yesterday to raise funds for the Wild Honey project. There were stalls for craft work by the Tuesday Group, paintings by local artists, indoor plants, books and bric-a-brac; lots of wonderful home-made cakes, and really good lunches. £505 was raised, which will support the running costs of the project.
