Greenbelt

Contributed by Mark:

From 22nd to 25th August many Christchurcher’s and ex-Christchurchers were enjoying and volunteering at the Greenbelt festival 2014. We were all eager to see what the new site at Boughton House was like. It has to be said that the site was visually impressive and relatively easy to get around although some campers had problems in getting onto site.

We particularly enjoyed the chilled out “Canopy” music and poetry venue, music and talks on the “Glade” stage and the Christian Aid venue on the Mount.

Sunday morning worship is always one of our highlights and this year was no exception with the weather being kind, great singing and the chance to catch up with the extended group of about 25.

Monday brought a traditional Bank Holiday downpour and by the evening the remaining hardy souls gathered in the Big Top listening to the Hummons and Martin Joseph.
